Reception Classes

Hello!

My name is Vicky Snape, I am a Reception teacher and am also the Phase Leader for Pre-School Nursery and Reception.

My role is to support the Early Years team to plan and teach engaging learning sequences that allow children to follow their interests whilst developing knowledge and skills identified in the Early Years Curriculum and to ensure that all children are safe, happy and develop a love of learning.

If you click on the class name below you can find a photo of the teacher as well as a copy of the transition postcard and other useful transition information.

On this page you will see link to our ‘Ready for Reception’ mats. These provide ideas for you to work on with your child over the summer to help them become more independent and feel ready for September.

Please send a full, named water bottle into school each day, along with your child’s book bags and Home Reading diaries. 

The emotional well-being of children, parents and staff is our priority, so we have been working hard to plan for a smooth transition in September. This will enable us to start building a strong relationship with each child so they feel secure and happy at Pitmaston.
