Welcome to Pitmaston Primary School

KateOn behalf of the children, staff and governors, I would like to welcome you to Pitmaston Primary School.  We hope you find our website clear and informative. It is designed to give you a flavour of the vibrant life of our school, the work of our pupils and the quality education we strive to deliver.

Our school is a large, dynamic primary school set within St. John’s Community, close to the historic Cathedral City of Worcester.  We have a pre-school Nursery on site ensuring an effective transition for children entering the Foundation Stage from our Nursery setting.  Visitors to our school comment positively on our size and space, our facilities, stimulating environment and inclusive, caring family ethos. They describe our atmosphere as respectful and nurturing.

Pitmaston Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

With such hardworking, well behaved and happy children, the continued support of families and the thorough commitment and dedication of the professional staff, our school strives to achieve our vision:

“to provide the very best possible education, outcomes and well-being for each individual child at Pitmaston Primary School.”

Being the Headteacher of Pitmaston Primary School gives me great pleasure. Having previously been the Deputy Headteacher here for three years, I am fully committed to the community of Pitmaston Primary School and strive to ensure that the school serves our local children and their families well. It is my hope that children leave school to go home, eager to return the following day.

Enjoy …. Aspire …. Achieve …..

Whilst every child’s education is my priority, it is also part of the vision that through our motto all our children ‘enjoy’ positive experiences and that they are nurtured to develop and grow. This enables them to ‘aspire’ to the endless possibilities that await them and celebrate the academic progress they ‘achieve.’

Underpinning the above, is my commitment to ensure that the children of Pitmaston Primary School possess the values that enable them to live well in society and prepare them to deal effectively with the challenges that the modern world presents. Through our embedded values system, pupils’ celebrate their differences and similarities and celebrate the strengths and successes found in each other.

We pride ourselves for having a strong working relationship between home and school which we believe is hugely important and is based on open, effective communication.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message.  If you would like to know more about our school please come and visit, both the children and staff look forward to welcoming you.
